The Rain Director® simply ‘directs’ rainwater from your rainwater storage vessel to the point where it can be used
Rain Director® – let’s look at the big picture.
Move your cursor over the images below to see larger images and click on each small image for a key to the components.

As shown in the illustration, the rainwater is pumped from the underground tank to the header tank so that when there is demand for water – a toilet flush for example – the water in the header tank is released to fill the toilet cistern. If the rainwater in the storage tank runs out, mains water is allowed into the header tank so that the system does not run dry.
The clever programmable control centre will perform other functions to keep the water fresh – for example flushing through every 3 days if unused and cycling to the rainwater storage tank during holidays.
The water in the underground tank is kept cool all year round and the floating intake pipe will only take water from just below the surface leaving any sediment in the bottom of the tank.
